To reach your weight loss and toning goals your exercise program must consists of cardio and strength training. Cardio (treadmill, step class, running, stair master, etc.) causes fat burning and weight loss. Strength training provides a toned appearance as you lose weight.
Traditionally strength training is done one day and cardio the next or cardio at the beginning of your exercise program and strength training toward the end or vice-versa. Either way it’s a very time consuming attempting to balance both.
