Problems Sleeping= Start Exercising

Can’t sleep. Up all night. Not functioning properly during the day because you are not getting the proper zzzz’s at night. No problem. Skip the medication, alcohol and other sleeping aids and get in some good ole fashion  exercise. Many studies have proven people who exercise regularly sleep better than they did previously, the quality of their sleep was increased and they went to sleep faster. A study from the December issue of Mental Health and Physical Activity determined 35-40% of the U.S. population has problems falling asleep after testing more than 2,600 men and women, ages 18-85. They found 150 minutes of moderate to vigorous activity a week which is the national guideline provided a 65% improvement in sleep quality.
